Often in strata living, conflict escalates to a level at which it cannot be resolved by the parties involved and needs therefore to be taken to mediation and/or NCAT
This session will focus on the NSW Fair Trading Mediation process as well as what happens at the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). The session will see participants learn not only the procedural process of mediation and NCAT but how to shine as a managing agent.
Preparation is also a key part of the process and the session will cover what is expected of a Strata Managing Agent and where Schedule B charges may arise. Additional charges should not be a surprise to client schemes and therefore several tips on how best to approach this will also be explored.
