Topic Overview

Strata Management is a challenging but rewarding industry. This session will focus on the tips, suggestions and how to build resilience and how to sustain strong mental health in a challenging industry.

Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity or significant sources of stress and it is important to adapt to the environment. An outcome of attending this session will be to identify ways in which resilience can be built over time to maintain your mental health.

Mechanisms for individuals to maintain their mental health will be explored, such as:

• Talking about how you feel to those you trust
• Keeping active whilst still working
• The importance of eating well
• Keeping in touch with those who support you
• Scheduling regular breaks throughout the working year
• Caring and supporting your colleagues.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will gain an understanding of:

• How to build resilience
• How to sustain strong mental health in a challenging industry
• How to identify ways in which resilience can be built over time to maintain mental health
• Mechanisms to maintain mental health
• Mental health management with work from home

Assessment Delivery and Certificates 

Assessments are multiple-choice. Access to assessments is provided to students on the SCA e-Learning Platform.

Upon successful completion of assessments, students will receive their Certificates via email, and can download them from the SCA e-Learning Platform at their convenience.
