The 2017 ‘Celebrating Strata’ Convention featured an exciting two day program with a diverse line up of speakers, highly valued opportunities for networking and was supported by the very popular trade exhibition, which showcased the latest products and services available to the strata industry.
In case you couldn’t attend or want a refresh, these are the highlights:
We had 24 speakers across 18 sessions including the Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation Matt Kean, MP and the Acting Commission for Fair Trading, Andrew Gavrielatos who singled out SCA (NSW) as an example of a member association that is delivering benchmark member services, education and accreditation, collaborative Government engagement and is a professional partner organisation.
Amongst the six key note speakers were academics, psychologists, business people and our own members. They provided advice and insight into building your business, dealing with others, building relationships and practical information on repairing concrete, a panel on the issue of dangerous cladding and mediation and defamation. We had record attendance across both days with a focus on strata managers.
There were 37 trade booths offering information, advice and a fair bit of fun. We met new service providers and re-acquainted ourselves with ones that continue to support the strata industry, for which we are grateful.
