The NSW Government says that this state has the highest number of building approvals with 73,606 dwellings approved for construction in the 12 months to August 2016.
The NSW Planning Minister Rob Stokes says that this is as a result of a “simpler, more efficient planning system.” The goal is to approve 90 percent of residential developments within 40 days.
