We always try to warn you about scams especially if it’s something that will affect our strata manager, services or member owners.
The latest warning from NSW Fair Trading about a dodgy electrician is a timely reminder that you should ensure all your professional service providers are properly licensed and/or qualified.
In the current case, NSW Fair Trading Commissioner Rod Stowe is urging the public not to deal with Charbel Khoury or Switchiton Electrical Services Australia Pty Ltd.
The Commissioner also says that Switchiton Electrical Services has a number of registered business names including Graham and Sons Electrics, Matty your local electrician, Harrys Local Electrics and Local Electrician 24/7.
Mr Stowe said Fair Trading has information Charbel Khoury operates Switchiton although he is not a listed director of the company.
“We also have evidence Mr Khoury continues to do electrical wiring work while disqualified and there is an ongoing investigation into him and the company,” he said.
