Look out for the Strata Services Specialist logo to be assured you’re dealing with a professional that understands strata.

Strata and community living is unique in many ways. It is important to have strata industry specialists who are trained to understand the
special needs of these properties and the owners.

To become a Strata Services Specialist a service provider completes a course designed and delivered by SCA (NSW) covering the following
topics:

  1. Introduction to the Strata Industry
  2. Ethical Practice
  3. Risk Management
  4. Strata Plan Interpretation
  5. Owners Corporation Meetings
  6. Building Management

On completion of the course, the service provider is certified by the SCA (NSW) giving strata owners, strata committee members and strata managers confidence that they have the relevant knowledge to work in strata schemes, community title and company title properties.

A refresher course is required every two years to retain the certification and ensures that the service provider is up to date with current legislation and matters affecting strata.
